FAMILY WORKER
Job Description:
Support the enrollment process of families including recruitment, registration, intake, family assessment, and ongoing support to families.
Work with families and affiliated providers to create individualized family plans in the provision of family and social support services.
Provide ongoing services to families needing additional support services (special education, mental health services, housing support, etc.)
Support families of children with special needs by attending case conferences and follow-up meetings.Connect parents/caregivers to appropriate resources and make necessary referrals to community partners.
Develop relationships with community partners who provide mental health, special needs, and other support services for all affiliated providers and families.
Collaboratively create and update a Community Partner Resource Guide for all providers and families.
Coordinate monthly family engagement workshops, special events, and other activities with the FCC Network team to encourage and maintain family participation.
Document all family engagement conversations and sessions in a timely manner and align with the Early Childhood Framework for Quality (EFQ).
Requirements:
Associate Degree or Child Development Associate credential (required)
Experience working with families with young children (required)
Experience working in family child care and/or with infants and toddlers (preferred)
Must live in Staten Island
Spanish speaking a Plus
EDUCATIONAL SPECIALIST
Job Description:
Collaborate with the FCC Education Director, FCC Family Support Worker, and FCC Monitors to meet the needs of all children and families.
Provide twice monthly strength-based practice-based coaching to up to 17 affiliated providers as they
implement a mixed-age curriculum.Adapt and provide guidance to affiliated providers on the implementation of an evidence-based curriculum for mixed-age group settings that meets the individual needs of all children.
Review and adapt appropriate curriculum supports and documents with affiliated providers that foster hands-on developmentally appropriate and relationship-based interactions with all children.
Assist affiliated providers gathering observations of children and entering child assessment data in a timely manner and support its use for curriculum and lesson planning.
Requirements:
BA/BS in early childhood or infant/toddler studies (required)
Experience teaching children under six (required)
Experience working in family child care and/or with infants and toddlers (preferred)
SAFETY MONITORING SPECIALIST
Visit affiliated provider homes monthly utilizing the DOE monitoring form to ensure proper integration of all OCFS/DOHMH regulations.
Follow-up regular monitoring visits with supportive strength-based coaching and corrective actions, as necessary.
Document all visits and communication with affiliated providers in a timely manner and align with the Early Childhood Framework for Quality (EFQ).
Regularly check the OCFS website for “Dear Provider” letters and other communication from NY State to stay knowledgeable about the license and registration requirements for all affiliated providers.
Check the OCFS website to ensure all affiliated providers remain free from violations with DOHMH.
Assist Network Director with the recruitment and affiliation process for family child care providers.
